- Connector version 1.2.1 lets eligible clients authorize autonomous order placement subject to restrictions and availability.
- AI users can build, refine and manage screeners across US, European and Hong Kong markets.
- Earnings Insights adds pre-report estimates and post-report guidance within the connected platform.
Interactive Brokers is expanding its Connector with autonomous trading, AI-built screeners and earnings research. The company described the features in its Connector version 1.2.1 release notes, last updated on October 27, 2026.
From research to execution
The update moves the platform beyond research and order preparation. Eligible clients can use Autonomous Trading to let connected artificial intelligence place supported orders without requiring confirmation for every transaction. Interactive Brokers says restrictions and availability conditions apply, making eligibility and account safeguards central to the commercial relevance of the feature.
The same release expands screeners from running saved searches to creating, refining and managing them inside a connected AI platform. Users can describe an investment idea in natural language, filter US stocks, US exchange-traded funds, European stocks and Hong Kong stocks, then preview, save, update or remove a screener.
Earnings research joins the workflow
Earnings Insights adds company research without requiring users to leave the connected platform. Before a report, clients can request estimates and outlook scenarios. Afterward, the service can provide guidance, management commentary and market reaction.
The combination gives Interactive Brokers a broader technology proposition spanning screening, earnings preparation and, where eligibility permits, order execution. For investors, the next commercial test is whether clients adopt the additional tools and use them often enough to support engagement and trading activity.
