Henkel stock traded at 81.02 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:35 CET on Monday, November 2. The company had raised its full-year outlook after reporting strong preliminary third-quarter growth on October 29.
According to Henkel's official release, group sales increased 11.0 percent year over year to 5,713 million euros in the third quarter. Organic sales growth, adjusted for foreign-exchange effects and acquisitions or divestments, reached 6.5 percent. Pricing contributed 5.4 percentage points, while volumes added 1.1 percentage points.
Strong growth across both divisions
Adhesive Technologies generated sales of 3,027 million euros, up 11.8 percent nominally, with organic growth of 7.9 percent. Pricing rose 7.2 percent and volumes increased 0.7 percent. Consumer Brands posted sales of 2,643 million euros, a nominal increase of 10.1 percent and organic growth of 4.8 percent, supported by 3.2 percent pricing growth and 1.6 percent volume growth.
The performance led Henkel to lift its 2026 organic sales growth expectation for the Group to 3.0 to 4.0 percent from 1.5 to 3.5 percent. The company now expects organic growth of 4.5 to 5.5 percent in Adhesive Technologies, compared with 2.0 to 4.0 percent previously, and 1.5 to 2.5 percent in Consumer Brands, compared with 0.5 to 2.5 percent.
Margins and costs remain in focus
Henkel expects adjusted return on sales of around 15 percent for the Group, compared with the prior range of 14.5 to 16.0 percent. The outlook for adjusted earnings per preferred share now calls for growth in the mid-single-digit percentage range at constant exchange rates, replacing the previous low- to high-single-digit range.
The company also expects direct-material prices to rise by around 10 percent against the prior-year average and projects restructuring expenses of 200 to 250 million euros. Capital spending on property, plant and equipment and intangible assets is expected to total 650 to 750 million euros. Acquisitions and divestments are expected to have a positive low-single-digit impact on sales, while currency translation is expected to weigh by a low-single-digit percentage.
