Glencore reported a stronger third quarter in several key commodities on Thursday, October 29, while keeping its 2026 production guidance unchanged. The company said its key assets largely performed in line with expectations.

In its third-quarter production report, Glencore said own-sourced copper output reached 598,600 tonnes in the first nine months of 2026. That was 15,100 tonnes, or 3 percent, above the comparable 2025 period. After adjusting for the Mount Isa closure and the Kidd disposal, production was 12 percent higher.

Third-quarter copper production was 201,600 tonnes, up 2 percent from the second quarter. Glencore retained its full-year copper guidance of 810,000 to 870,000 tonnes but expects the result toward the lower end of that range. The company said fourth-quarter production should benefit from higher expected grades and recoveries at Collahuasi.

The broader production picture remains mixed. Nine-month nickel output rose 4 percent to 54,600 tonnes, while zinc production fell 23 percent to 547,200 tonnes. Steelmaking coal declined 13 percent to 21.5 million tonnes, whereas energy coal was broadly in line with the prior-year period.
