Geberit stock holds outlook after 9M sales rise 5.7%

- Geberit reported higher nine-month sales and earnings per share despite currency losses and cost inflation.
- Management maintained its 2026 sales-growth and EBITDA-margin expectations.
- Fourth-quarter comparisons are expected to be tougher, keeping pricing and input costs in focus.
Geberit reported strong results for the first nine months of 2026 on Tuesday, November 3, while keeping its full-year outlook unchanged. The company said significant volume growth and higher selling prices offset part of the pressure from currency losses and rising material and energy costs. The announcement was published through Deutsche Boerse.
Sales growth meets cost pressure
Net sales rose 3.6 percent in Swiss francs to CHF 2,535 million in the nine-month period. Adjusted for currency effects, growth reached 5.7 percent. Geberit attributed the performance to substantial volume growth, an improved market environment in Europe and solid demand across most regions and product areas.
EBITDA increased 3.3 percent to CHF 778 million, producing a margin of 30.7 percent. Geberit said higher direct material and energy prices, together with currency losses, weighed on profitability, while selling-price increases and the absence of some prior-year one-time costs provided support. Earnings per share rose 8.1 percent to CHF 16.23.
Guidance remains unchanged
Management continues to expect local-currency sales growth of 5 to 6 percent for 2026 and an EBITDA margin around the prior-year level. The outlook reflects confidence in demand and pricing, but it also leaves investors focused on the balance between further price increases and input-cost inflation.
Geberit expects tougher top-line comparisons in the fourth quarter. The company also indicated that the pricing effect should strengthen later in the year, while direct material and energy costs are expected to remain higher. That combination could determine whether the group finishes the year near its margin target.
