- Management expects slower volume growth and continued cost and margin risks in the final quarter.
- The company is expanding its African presence through planned acquisitions and majority investments.
Fuchs Petrolub stock traded at 43.36 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 6:00 p.m. CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. That was 2.19 percent below the 44.33-euro level cited in the previous report published on November 2.
FUCHS raised its 2026 EBIT outlook after reporting stronger first-nine-month results on October 30. The company expects EBIT of around 500 million euros, compared with its previous range of 460 million to 480 million euros. Revenue guidance was set at around 4.1 billion euros.
Stronger earnings, weaker cash conversion
Sales revenue increased 16 percent to 3.126 billion euros in the January-to-September period, while EBIT rose 25 percent to 409 million euros. The EBIT margin improved to 13.1 percent from 12.1 percent, and profit after tax advanced 23 percent to 281 million euros.
Free cash flow before acquisitions moved in the opposite direction, falling to 92 million euros from 181 million euros. FUCHS attributed the decline mainly to an inflation-driven increase in net working capital linked to higher purchasing and selling prices.
Final quarter remains the key test
Management expects revenue growth to continue in the fourth quarter but warned that volume growth may slow. Pull-forward effects from the first half, seasonal factors, high raw-material costs and risks to sales and margins remain important variables for the full-year outcome.
The company is also expanding its African operations. Agreements cover full takeovers of former joint ventures in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique, alongside majority investments in Kenya and Tanzania. Completion is expected in early 2027, with the businesses employing around 170 people and generating annual revenue of around 50 million euros.
