Strong earnings, cautious volume outlook
In the nine-month period, revenue increased 16 percent to EUR 3.126 billion, according to the FUCHS SE earnings release published via finanzen.at. EBIT rose 25 percent to EUR 409 million, lifting the EBIT margin to 13.1 percent from 12.1 percent a year earlier. Profit after tax increased 23 percent to EUR 281 million.
Management now expects full-year EBIT of around EUR 500 million and revenue of around EUR 4.1 billion. The company cautioned that the strong third-quarter performance should not be extrapolated, citing volatile market conditions, raw-material risks and slower sales-volume growth toward year-end.
Africa investments broaden footprint
On Wednesday, October 28, FUCHS announced agreements to acquire full ownership of former joint ventures in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique. It also plans to take controlling stakes in new or existing ventures in Kenya and Tanzania. The EQS announcement published via finanzen.at said the transactions are expected to close early in 2027. The businesses involved employ around 170 people and generate approximately EUR 50 million in annual sales.
