- Evotec's third-quarter profitability improved sharply while nine-month revenue remained below the prior-year level.
- Management kept its 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA ranges unchanged and expects both measures toward their upper ends.
- Horizon savings, new partnerships and a 2030 growth framework strengthen the recovery case, but execution remains critical.
Evotec reported a mixed third quarter and first nine months on Thursday, November 5, with quarterly profitability improving sharply while the year-to-date picture remained weaker. The company's official release confirmed the 2026 outlook and added details on its transformation and long-term targets.
Evotec stock traded at 3.15 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:36 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026, 0.32 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, November 6. Since the previous report's Lang & Schwarz quote of 3.08 euros at 17:43 CET on November 5, the stock has gained 2.27 percent.
Quarterly profitability improves
Third-quarter revenue reached 164.9 million euros, broadly unchanged from the prior-year quarter. Adjusted Group EBITDA improved to a loss of 1.6 million euros from 15.0 million euros, which Evotec attributed primarily to lower cost of revenue.
The nine-month figures were less supportive. Revenue fell 13.1 percent year on year to 465.0 million euros, while adjusted Group EBITDA declined to a loss of 44.3 million euros from 16.9 million euros. The result shows that the quarterly improvement has not yet translated into a full-year recovery.
Outlook and transformation remain key
Evotec reaffirmed 2026 Group revenue guidance of 570 million to 610 million euros and adjusted Group EBITDA guidance of a loss of 105 million to 70 million euros. Management expects both measures toward the upper ends of their ranges, while noting the variability of quarterly results.
The company said more than 20 percent of its 75 million euro annual run-rate savings target had been delivered by the end of September. It also confirmed commercial manufacturing selection by Vertex Pharmaceuticals for povetacicept and highlighted new collaborations with Plectonic and Odyssey Therapeutics.
Evotec's 2030 framework targets Group revenue of about 1 billion euros, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 20 percent by the end of 2028 and more than 20 percent by the end of 2030. The framework gives investors a longer-term benchmark, but sustained commercial conversion and repeated quarterly improvement remain necessary to support it.
