European stocks received support from lower oil prices and a retreat in euro-area bond yields. Euro-area August retail-sales data were scheduled for 9:00 a.m. GMT on October 6, with forecasts for a 0.2 percent monthly increase after a 0.6 percent decline in July, according to Yahoo Finance. ECB officials were also scheduled to speak during the day.
On October 7, ECB data releases were scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CEST, including the weekly and monthly APP and PEPP updates, according to the ECB schedule. Fiscal concerns in France and political uncertainty in Spain remain part of the market backdrop identified by Reuters via Yahoo Finance.
