- Food delivery returned to the long-term growth range targeted by management.
- Blinkit remained the main expansion engine, with profitability improving alongside a larger dark-store network.
- Higher operating costs and taxation remain important factors for future earnings conversion.
Eternal reported a sharp increase in second-quarter profit and revenue for fiscal 2027 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Business Standard reported that net profit rose 92 percent year on year to INR 125 crore, while revenue increased 77.6 percent to INR 24,138 crore in Q2 FY27.
Growth broadens across the platform
Consolidated adjusted EBITDA increased 197 percent year on year to INR 666 crore and rose 20 percent from the first quarter. The result reflected growth in Eternal's food-delivery and quick-commerce operations, although the cash balance declined to INR 16,475 crore from INR 18,288 crore as working capital requirements increased ahead of the festive season.
Food-delivery net order value reached INR 11,445 crore, up 21.5 percent year on year. Management said the business had returned to its long-term expectation of more than 20 percent annual growth after a period of slower expansion.
Blinkit's net order value climbed 79.3 percent year on year to INR 20,940 crore, while its adjusted EBITDA reached INR 184 crore. The quick-commerce platform ended the quarter with 2,751 stores, and management expects continued store expansion to support assortment growth and customer spending.
Costs remain an earnings constraint
The strong operating performance did not eliminate pressure below the EBITDA line. Higher delivery, employee, depreciation and tax costs reduced the conversion of revenue growth into net profit, leaving investors focused on whether expansion can continue without eroding returns.
