Equinix strengthened its growth case after reporting record third-quarter bookings and raising its 2026 outlook for the third consecutive quarter. The update followed results for the period ended September 30, 2026, released on October 28 in the company's third-quarter results release.
Record bookings support higher targets
Annualized gross bookings reached 533 million US dollars, an increase of 35 percent from a year earlier. Third-quarter revenue rose 11 percent to 2.571 billion US dollars on an as-reported basis, while normalized and constant-currency growth was 12 percent.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 15 percent to 1.321 billion US dollars. Adjusted funds from operations rose 20 percent to 1.156 billion US dollars, while AFFO per diluted share reached 11.64 US dollars on a reported basis. Equinix said a non-recurring fee related to its atNorth investment supported that comparison.
AI demand expands capacity plans
Chief Executive Adaire Fox-Martin said Equinix was accelerating capacity delivery to meet broad-based demand. The company introduced Fabric One for distributed cloud, network and AI environments and announced Equinix Inference Exchange with NVIDIA and Together AI.
Nearly 40 percent more cabinets are planned for delivery in 2026 than initially expected. For the full year, Equinix expects revenue of 10.325 billion to 10.365 billion US dollars, adjusted EBITDA of 5.290 billion to 5.330 billion US dollars and AFFO of 4.340 billion to 4.380 billion US dollars. Fourth-quarter revenue is forecast at 2.684 billion to 2.724 billion US dollars, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 49 to 50 percent.
