- Third-quarter revenue rose 11 percent year over year, while adjusted funds from operations per share increased 18 percent as reported.
- Annualized gross bookings reached a record 533 million US dollars, up 35 percent from the prior year.
- Equinix raised full-year revenue, adjusted EBITDA and AFFO guidance for the third consecutive quarter.
Equinix reported stronger third-quarter operations on October 28, 2026, and raised its full-year outlook for the third consecutive quarter. The company said record bookings and demand across connectivity and artificial intelligence workloads supported the performance in a company press release.
Record bookings support expansion
Revenue rose 11 percent from the year-earlier quarter to 2.571 billion US dollars. On a normalized and constant-currency basis, revenue increased 12 percent. Operating income climbed 27 percent to 600 million US dollars.
Net income attributable to common stockholders reached 489 million US dollars, up 31 percent year over year, or 4.93 US dollars per diluted share. Equinix said the result benefited in part from a non-recurring fee related to its investment in the atNorth joint venture, making the reported increase less representative of underlying operations.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 15 percent to 1.321 billion US dollars, while the adjusted EBITDA margin was 51 percent. Adjusted funds from operations rose 20 percent to 1.156 billion US dollars as reported. AFFO per diluted share reached 11.64 US dollars, up 18 percent as reported and 12 percent on a normalized basis excluding the atNorth joint venture fee.
Annualized gross bookings reached a record 533 million US dollars, up 35 percent year over year. Equinix added 6,900 net interconnections and said monthly recurring revenue expanded by double digits for the fourth consecutive quarter. Interconnection revenue increased 10 percent, while Fabric revenue rose 24 percent, both on an as-reported and normalized constant-currency basis.
Guidance rises for third time
Equinix now expects full-year 2026 revenue of 10.325 billion to 10.365 billion US dollars, compared with its prior range of 10.205 billion to 10.285 billion US dollars. The revised range reflects an 84 million US dollar underlying increase and a 16 million US dollar foreign-exchange benefit.
Adjusted EBITDA guidance increased to 5.290 billion to 5.330 billion US dollars from 5.210 billion to 5.270 billion US dollars. AFFO guidance rose to 4.340 billion to 4.380 billion US dollars, including a 31 million US dollar contribution from the atNorth joint venture. The AFFO-per-share outlook is now 43.71 to 44.11 US dollars. Equinix expects fourth-quarter revenue of 2.684 billion to 2.724 billion US dollars and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 49 to 50 percent.
Management also highlighted Equinix Fabric One, the Equinix Inference Exchange and new liquid-cooling facilities for high-density artificial intelligence infrastructure. These initiatives broaden the company's connectivity and capacity offering, while the planned acceleration of cabinet deliveries points to continued investment in demand conversion. The company expects total capital expenditures of 5 billion to 6 billion US dollars for 2026.
