The company completed the long-term project financing on September 17, 2026, according to Encavis.
Italy adds 351 MW
The financed portfolio combines 265 MW from the Giotto portfolio with four additional solar projects, bringing the total capacity to 351 MW. Encavis acquired the Giotto portfolio in November 2025, and the new structure replaces acquisition financing with long-term project financing, according to Encavis.
The transaction also leaves room for battery storage additions. That detail matters because the company is combining renewable generation, storage and market-oriented optimization rather than relying only on solar generation revenues.
Debt structure runs to 2049
The financing consists of a EUR 244 million term facility, a EUR 10 million Debt Service Reserve Facility and a EUR 28 million Letter of Credit Facility. Both term-facility tranches mature at the end of 2049, giving the project a long-dated funding structure, as EQS News reports.
The banking group includes Bank of America, Bayerische Landesbank, BNP Paribas, Rabobank, Deutsche Bank Luxembourg and UniCredit. Watson Farley & Williams said on September 17, 2026, that it advised Encavis on the transaction.
Portfolio scale shapes the story
Encavis operates wind farms, ground-mounted solar parks and battery storage systems across 13 European countries. Its installed capacity exceeds 5 GW, while the Italian financing adds a clearly quantified 351 MW project platform to that broader portfolio, according to EQS News.
Long term funding anchors growth
Encavis has linked EUR 282 million of project debt to 351 MW of Italian solar capacity, with the main repayment structure extending to 2049.
