Eaton reported record third-quarter results on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and raised its full-year organic-growth outlook, according to the company's earnings release. The power management company said sales rose 28 percent from a year earlier to a record 8.947 billion US dollars for the three months ended September 30.
Organic sales growth reached 19 percent, while acquisitions added 8 percentage points and foreign exchange added 1 percentage point. Adjusted earnings per share increased to a record 3.68 US dollars from 3.07 US dollars a year earlier. Reported diluted earnings per share were 2.77 US dollars, compared with 2.59 US dollars in the prior-year quarter.
Electrical Demand Drives Momentum
Segment margins reached a record 25.3 percent, 30 basis points above the third quarter of 2025. Electrical Americas sales rose organically by 22 percent to 4.172 billion US dollars, with operating margins improving to 29.8 percent. Electrical Global sales climbed 58 percent to 2.727 billion US dollars, helped by the Boyd Thermal acquisition and 27 percent organic growth.
Order momentum also strengthened. Eaton said its twelve-month rolling average of organic orders increased 39 percent in Electrical Americas, 51 percent in Electrical Global and 20 percent in Aerospace. Electrical backlog growth was 46 percent year over year, while Aerospace backlog increased 33 percent.
Higher Full-Year Targets
Eaton now expects 2026 organic growth of 13 to 15 percent, compared with its previous range of 11 to 13 percent. The company kept its full-year segment-margin outlook at 24.1 to 24.5 percent and raised adjusted earnings-per-share guidance to 13.70 to 13.80 US dollars. Fourth-quarter guidance calls for organic growth of 13 to 15 percent, segment margins of 25.4 to 25.8 percent and adjusted earnings per share of 4.05 to 4.15 US dollars.
Management linked the performance to broad demand and continued investment in critical power infrastructure. Eaton also announced an agreement to acquire COL Group for 810 million euros, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027 and would expand Eaton's European manufacturing and medium-voltage distribution capabilities.
