Diamondback Energy is due to release its third-quarter 2026 results after the market close on Monday, November 2. The report will test whether the Permian producer can sustain high output while keeping spending and operating costs under control, according to Financial Report Insights.
Diamondback Energy stock traded at 186.51 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:34 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026. The quote gives investors a current pre-market indication ahead of the release, while the earnings figures and management outlook will provide the next fundamental catalyst.
Production and spending in focus
For the third quarter, management had guided to oil production of 517,000 to 527,000 barrels per day and total production of 995,000 to 1.015 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Capital spending was projected at 950 million to 1.05 billion US dollars, with cash taxes expected at 400 million to 460 million US dollars.
The production range is close to the second quarter's oil output of 525,176 barrels per day. Financial Report Insights said the comparison will show whether Diamondback can keep volumes elevated as it works through wells already drilled and completed. The second-quarter total production reached 1,017,659 barrels of oil equivalent per day, the first time it exceeded one million barrels per day.
Gas pricing and cash returns
Gas remains a material swing factor. Diamondback reported an average realized natural-gas price of negative 2.15 US dollars per thousand cubic feet in the second quarter, as constrained pipeline capacity weighed on prices at the Waha hub. Investors will look for evidence that additional takeaway capacity has improved the realized price in the latest quarter.
The company also faces a capital-allocation choice between debt reduction and shareholder returns. Second-quarter free cash flow was about 2.33 billion US dollars, while debt fell to 12.8 billion US dollars and dividends and buybacks totaled 452 million US dollars. Diamondback had removed its quarterly commitment to return at least 50% of free cash flow and increased its share-repurchase authorization to 16 billion US dollars.
Endeavor integration sets the backdrop
The quarter is an important checkpoint for the integration of Endeavor's assets. The enlarged operating base is expected to support production, but investors will also assess lease operating costs, infrastructure spending and the effect of higher casing prices on well economics. The earlier outlook called for full-year 2026 total production above one million barrels of oil equivalent per day and oil production above 522,000 barrels per day, with cash capital spending of about 3.9 billion US dollars.
Investors can follow the real-time quote of Diamondback Energy stock as the market awaits the release and the management conference call scheduled for Tuesday, November 3.
