Dell Technologies stock weighs strong AI infrastructure demand against a weaker PC market and rising memory pressure. Investors await Dell's next results.

AI Demand Meets PC Market Pressure

  • Intel's warning points to weaker PC volumes and higher memory-related cost pressure for hardware makers.
  • Dell's AI infrastructure orders and backlog provide a counterweight to weakness in traditional PCs.
  • Dell is scheduled to report fiscal third-quarter results after the close on November 24.

Dell Technologies stock is caught between resilient AI infrastructure demand and a weakening PC market as component costs come under pressure. Yahoo Finance reported on Monday, November 2, that Intel's warning about memory prices and PC demand had hit hardware stocks after the October 30 session.

Intel expects PC unit volumes to decline 12 percent in 2026 and 10 percent in 2027, according to the report. Dell's Client Solutions Group remains exposed to that slowdown, while its Infrastructure Solutions Group benefits from demand for AI servers, storage and networking equipment.

What Has Changed Since The Last Report

Dell Technologies stock traded at 370.23 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 16:11 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026, 2.08 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, October 30. Compared with the 384.48 euros cited in the previous report at 11:38 CET, the quote was 3.71 percent lower, a separate move from the Xetra day comparison. The real-time quote of Dell Technologies stock is available separately.

Yahoo Finance said Dell's Client Solutions revenue rose 20 percent to 15.0 billion US dollars in the July quarter, with consumer sales below 4 percent of total revenue. Preliminary industry figures cited by the publication put Dell's PC shipments 25 percent lower in the July-to-September quarter.

AI infrastructure offers a stronger demand signal. Dell disclosed record AI orders of 60.9 billion US dollars and an AI backlog of 95 billion US dollars on September 1, while management raised its fiscal 2027 revenue outlook to 192 billion US dollars. Orders and backlog are not recognized revenue, so execution and component availability remain central to the earnings outlook.

Investors Watch Margins And Supply

Memory shortages can pressure PC volumes, raise input costs and constrain shipments. At the same time, Intel expects server CPU demand to grow, but supply limitations could restrict how quickly Dell converts AI demand into revenue. Dell's next fiscal third-quarter report is scheduled for after the close on November 24.
