- CrowdStrike introduced an AI Kill Switch at Fal.Con Europe to give security teams human control over rogue AI agents.
- The control can terminate an agent, block it from relaunching and cut its enterprise network access.
- The feature is available in Falcon Guardian, while broader coordinated enforcement remains under development.
CrowdStrike introduced an AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian on November 3 at Fal.Con Europe in Barcelona, giving security teams a human-controlled way to respond when AI agents behave outside their intended role. The company outlined the launch in its CrowdStrike press release.
What the new control does
The control is designed to terminate a running agent at the gateway, prevent it from launching again on a targeted host or host group and cut off its enterprise network access. An authorized administrator triggers the action, with each intervention recorded in an audit trail.
CrowdStrike said the feature builds on Falcon Guardian's visibility into what an agent is told to do, what it communicates and what it executes. The AI Kill Switch is available today, while the company plans to extend coordinated containment across additional enforcement points.
