Continental is approaching its third-quarter results with investor attention centered on earnings quality and the outlook for its tire business. The company will publish the Q3 2026 results on Wednesday, November 4, at 7:30 a.m. CET, according to its investor relations calendar.
Continental's investor relations consensus, compiled as of October 20, puts average third-quarter sales at 3,458.1 million euros and adjusted EBIT at 479.9 million euros. The corresponding adjusted EBIT margin is 13.9 percent, based on ten analyst estimates for sales, EBIT and margin. Adjusted free cash flow estimates are more dispersed, ranging from negative 59.7 million euros to positive 283.0 million euros.
Consensus separates regional performance
The regional estimates point to EMEA as the main earnings contributor, with average third-quarter sales of 1,899.9 million euros and adjusted EBIT of 337.6 million euros. The implied adjusted EBIT margin is 17.8 percent. The Americas are expected to deliver 1,134.1 million euros of sales and 95.2 million euros of adjusted EBIT, while APAC is forecast at 460.7 million euros of sales and 82.6 million euros of adjusted EBIT.
ContiTech, which is included in the current reporting structure, is expected to generate 1,049.7 million euros of sales and 70.6 million euros of adjusted EBIT in the quarter. Continental has said it is introducing a new reporting structure from Q3 2026, making the segment presentation an important point for investors when comparing the new figures with earlier reports.
Full-year expectations set the test
For 2026, the same consensus compilation shows average sales of 13,670.3 million euros, adjusted EBIT of 1,868.9 million euros and an adjusted EBIT margin of 13.7 percent. Analysts also expect adjusted free cash flow of 1,108.0 million euros and an average dividend estimate of 2.86 euros.
The 2027 estimates imply further expansion, with average sales of 14,154.4 million euros and adjusted EBIT of 2,005.4 million euros. For the stock, the key issue is whether the Q3 report confirms the earnings profile behind those expectations and whether Continental can provide sufficient visibility on the transition of its business portfolio.
