The Coca-Cola Company reported stronger third-quarter demand on October 27, 2026, and raised its full-year 2026 outlook. In its investor release, the beverage maker said global unit case volume grew 5% in the three months ended October 2, led by India, China, Mexico and Brazil.

Volume Supports Higher Guidance

Net revenue increased 7% to 13.4 billion US dollars, while organic revenue, a non-GAAP measure, also rose 7%. Concentrate sales increased 7%, and price/mix contributed 1%, showing that volume and shipment timing played a larger role than pricing alone in the quarter.

Regional performance was mixed. Latin American unit case volume advanced 6% and Asia Pacific volume rose 6%, while North American volume was flat. Growth in Trademark Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar helped offset declines in water, sports, coffee and tea in North America. Coca-Cola Zero Sugar volume increased 16% across the geographic operating segments.

Reported operating income grew 12%, and comparable currency-neutral operating income, another non-GAAP measure, increased 8%. Reported earnings per share rose 8% to 0.93 US dollars, while comparable earnings per share increased 11% to 0.91 US dollars. The company said currency provided a 2 percentage-point tailwind to both EPS measures, while higher marketing investment and operating expenses partly offset operating progress.

Outlook Includes Currency Effects

Coca-Cola now expects 2026 organic revenue growth of at least 5%, compared with prior guidance of approximately 5%. The company raised its comparable currency-neutral EPS growth target, excluding acquisitions and divestitures, to at least 9% from a previous range of 7% to 8%. Comparable EPS growth is now expected to reach at least 11%, up from the earlier range of 9% to 10%.

The revised comparable EPS outlook includes an estimated 3% currency tailwind and a 1% headwind from acquisitions and divestitures. Coca-Cola also lifted its free cash flow target to at least 13.0 billion US dollars, comprising at least 15.2 billion US dollars of operating cash flow and approximately 2.2 billion US dollars of capital spending. The outlook assumes the pending sale of the company's African bottling operations closes during the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals.

CEO Henrique Braun said the quarter demonstrated sustained momentum and gave management confidence in the updated guidance. For investors, the figures point to broad-based volume growth, but the flat North American volume and limited price/mix contribution keep execution in the core market important. Currency and portfolio effects also account for part of the higher earnings outlook.
