CAC 40 closes 0.40 percent higher as Schneider lags

Schneider Electric remains a drag
Schneider Electric was the weakest CAC 40 component during the session, falling 3.94 percent to EUR 262.05 at 3:58 p.m. CEST, according to Boursorama. The decline followed Schneider's agreement to acquire PTC in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately USD 22.6 billion.
The companies said the deal would be financed through an equity issue of EUR 5 billion to EUR 6 billion and new debt of EUR 16 billion to EUR 17 billion. PTC said completion is expected by the third quarter of 2027, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
