- The TalkTalk acquisition adds a further cash-flow and regulatory focus to the update.
BT Group will publish its H1 FY27 results on Thursday, November 5, giving investors the next scheduled update on the UK telecom operator's fiber rollout, cash generation and cost program.
The Beinsure analysis published on October 29 said BT's outlook centers on Openreach investment, lower capital spending and the path toward normalized free cash flow of GBP 2 billion in FY2027. It also cited guidance for adjusted EBITDA of GBP 8.1 billion to GBP 8.2 billion.
The real-time quote of BT Group stock was 2.67 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 6:34 p.m. CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Cash Flow Meets Network Investment
Investors are expected to examine whether Openreach's full-fiber expansion is translating into stronger customer connections and better returns on network spending. BT has indicated that capital expenditure excluding spectrum should decline to GBP 4.2 billion to GBP 4.3 billion in FY2027, according to the Beinsure report.
The update will also test confidence in BT's longer-term target of GBP 3 billion in annual normalized free cash flow by the end of the decade. Competitive pressure in UK broadband remains an important counterweight to the lower investment outlook.
TalkTalk Adds Execution Risk
BT's acquisition of TalkTalk Telecommunications and PlatformX Communications brings approximately 2.5 million customers into focus. Beinsure reported that BT expects a GBP 400 million FY2027 cash impact from consideration, transaction and administration costs, working capital needs and trading losses, while regulatory scrutiny remains relevant.
