Bharat Electronics stock fell in Friday trading ahead of the defence electronics company's September-quarter results, according to India IPO, which cited Business Today. The report said the stock declined 2 percent and reached an intraday low of INR 363.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday, October 30, 2026.

Results expectations set the tone

Bloomberg consensus estimates cited in the report point to standalone net profit of INR 1,346 crore for the July-to-September quarter, up 4.63 percent year on year. Standalone net sales are expected to rise 13.27 percent to INR 6,528 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation are estimated at INR 1,792 crore.

Brokerage forecasts vary on the strength of the earnings recovery. Kotak Institutional Equities expects revenue growth of 16 percent year on year and sees the EBITDA margin improving sequentially to 28.9 percent. Motilal Oswal Financial Services expects profit to increase 9 percent to INR 1,403 crore and also forecasts 16 percent revenue growth.

Orders remain the key investor focus

The report said investors are watching the proposed INR 300 billion Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile order, which is awaiting approval from India's Cabinet Committee on Security. Year-to-date order inflows were cited at INR 7,300 crore, down 44 percent year on year, making the timing of large order conversions important for future growth visibility.

Other monitorables include Uttam radar, next-generation corvette and P75I submarine programmes, as well as the AMCA prototype. The company has previously guided for 15 percent revenue growth and an EBITDA margin of about 28 percent in financial year 2027, while analysts also point to execution of the large order backlog and a rising share of exports.
