Bharat Electronics Limited reported stronger-than-expected second-quarter results on Friday, October 30, 2026. CNBC TV18 said standalone profit after tax rose 19.8 percent year over year to INR 1,541 crore for the quarter ended September 30, beating its analyst poll estimate of INR 1,380 crore.
Profit and revenue beat estimates
Standalone revenue from operations increased 26.5 percent to INR 7,291 crore from INR 5,764 crore a year earlier, ahead of the poll estimate of INR 6,618 crore. EBITDA rose 20.4 percent to INR 2,040 crore, exceeding the INR 1,820 crore estimate.
The stronger top line did not translate into wider operating profitability. EBITDA margin declined to 28 percent from 29.4 percent in the year-earlier quarter, although it remained above the 27.5 percent estimate. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations reached INR 7,328 crore and net profit was INR 1,540.4 crore.
Order book supports execution outlook
Bharat Electronics reported an order book of INR 68,717 crore as of October 1, 2026. For the first half of fiscal 2027, standalone operating revenue rose 25.97 percent to INR 12,824 crore, while profit after tax increased 14.81 percent to INR 2,589 crore.
The company said its review of existing contracts and agreements with Israel-based entities found no material financial impact as of the reporting date. For investors, the next focus is whether the large order book can support continued revenue execution while margins remain below the prior-year level.
