Utilities, consumer services and healthcare led the advance, according to Investing.com. Azelis rose 3.33 percent, argenx gained 2.76 percent and Warehouses de Pauw advanced 2.66 percent. Aperam was the weakest BEL 20 component, falling 4.55 percent after reports cited lower demand, as DHnet reported.
Market breadth
Gainers outnumbered decliners 62 to 28 on the Brussels exchange, while 18 stocks ended unchanged, Investing.com said. Gold futures rose 0.83 percent to USD 4,191.47 a troy ounce, while November crude oil fell 0.42 percent to USD 89.05 a barrel and Brent declined 0.81 percent to USD 99.51.
