Barco stock (ISIN BE0974362940) was last at EUR 7.20 on Euronext Brussels on October 2, 2026 at 5:35 p.m. CEST, down 0.41 percent from the prior close. The next test is operational: first-half sales declined 8 percent, while the order book expanded by 15.4 percent from the end of 2025.
Sales fell as orders held up
According to Yahoo Finance in its September 25, 2026 report on the July 15, 2026 earnings call, Barco generated EUR 418 million in first-half sales, down 8 percent year over year, and reported EUR 26 million of EBITDA, equal to a 6 percent margin.
The same report put the midyear order book at EUR 568 million, compared with EUR 492 million at the end of 2025. Orders reached EUR 468 million, down 4 percent year over year, so the backlog comparison is currently more constructive than the sales comparison.
Losses pressure the recovery case
Barco reported a EUR 4.8 million net loss and negative free cash flow of EUR 37 million for the first half, according to Yahoo Finance. Net debt stood at EUR 33 million at midyear after the VerVent acquisition, dividends and share repurchases, changing the balance-sheet position from net cash.
Healthcare was the clearest weak spot in the reported mix: sales fell 12 percent to EUR 121 million and orders dropped 23 percent to EUR 109 million. Entertainment sales declined 5 percent to EUR 199 million, while Entertainment orders increased 3 percent to EUR 243 million.
Estimates move lower
Simply Wall St reported on September 29, 2026 that the consensus 2026 price target had fallen from EUR 11.20 to EUR 10.19. The 2026 EPS estimate also declined from EUR 0.754 to EUR 0.652, while the revenue forecast stood at EUR 972.4 million.
The company outlook still calls for full-year sales above the prior year and an EBITDA margin of 11 percent to 12 percent, according to the Yahoo Finance earnings-call report. That gap between the 6 percent first-half margin and the full-year target makes second-half execution the central valuation question.
