- BAE Systems expanded Horizon Solutions with overhaul, trade-in and fixed-cost subscription options for commercial airlines.
- The Adaptable Deck Launcher live-fire test advances a naval missile-launching system for US and allied fleets.
BAE Systems highlighted two business developments during the week ended Friday, October 30, covering commercial aviation support and naval defense technology. The announcements add product milestones to the companys established defense and aerospace portfolio.
The Market Forecast report said on October 28 that BAE Systems expanded its Horizon Solutions Aftermarket Services and Support line. The offer adds tailored overhaul work, broader trade-in options and fixed-cost subscription programs for airlines seeking more predictable maintenance costs and higher aircraft availability.
The company said the support business serves more than 600 operators and 33,000 aircraft. The expansion extends the commercial aviation aftermarket role beyond original equipment supply and gives airlines additional ways to manage fleet maintenance and lifecycle costs.
Naval launch system reaches test milestone
On October 27, BAE Systems completed the first live-fire test of its Adaptable Deck Launcher, according to Simply Wall St. The launcher is designed to work with the Mk 41 vertical launch system and Evolved SeaSparrow Missile canisters, with applications across US and allied naval fleets.
The system is intended to support anti-air missions and faster reloading at sea, including on surface ships and selected unmanned platforms. The test is a product milestone rather than a disclosed production contract, so its eventual financial contribution will depend on future procurement decisions.
The real-time quote of BAE Systems stock traded at 24.75 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:27 CET on Saturday, October 31.
