ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih
ArcelorMittal said four missile strikes targeted ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih over five weeks, with the latest occurring on September 21, 2026. The company said the attacks caused five deaths and injured 17 employees, one of whom remained in critical condition. It said it was discussing the plant’s future with the Government of Ukraine and would preserve infrastructure so that restarting production remains an option when peace returns.
ArcelorMittal also said it had provided more than US$700 million to support continuity of operations at the Ukrainian subsidiary. It expects to record an approximately US$1 billion non-cash impairment charge, principally related to property, plant and equipment at Kryvyi Rih.
