ANDRITZ delivered stronger revenue and earnings in the third quarter of 2026, while its order backlog reached a record level. The Austrian technology group reported the figures in a corporate announcement published on Thursday, October 29, 2026, through Financial Times company announcements, which reproduced the EQS release.

Revenue and profit accelerate

Third-quarter revenue rose 9.2% year over year to EUR 2.0596 billion. Comparable EBITA increased 10.3% to EUR 184.9 million, leaving the comparable EBITA margin at 9.0%, compared with 8.9% a year earlier. Net income including non-controlling interests advanced 14.4% to EUR 127.3 million.

Growth was led by Hydropower, where quarterly revenue increased 25.4% to EUR 501.1 million. Pulp & Paper revenue rose 8.8% to EUR 767.3 million, while Metals revenue was broadly stable and Environment & Energy grew 3.1%.

Orders remain above two billion

Order intake reached EUR 2.1662 billion in the quarter, slightly below the EUR 2.1800 billion recorded in the prior-year period. It nevertheless remained above the two-billion-euro threshold for the eighth consecutive quarter. Hydropower orders rose 34.2% to EUR 703.9 million and Metals orders climbed 20.8% to EUR 357.4 million.

Pulp & Paper order intake fell 24.5% to EUR 706.8 million after a particularly strong comparison quarter. Environment & Energy orders declined 6.1% to EUR 398.1 million. For the first nine months, group order intake increased 17.1% to EUR 8.0859 billion.

The order backlog stood at EUR 12.7291 billion at September 30, 2026, up 21.7% from the end of 2025. Chief Executive Joachim Schönbeck said the group would continue converting the backlog into profitable growth. The backlog gives investors greater visibility on future sales, although project timing and demand in weaker businesses remain relevant risks.

Guidance remains unchanged

ANDRITZ confirmed its 2026 outlook. The company expects revenue between EUR 8.0 billion and EUR 8.3 billion and a comparable EBITA margin between 8.7% and 9.1%. The group also reiterated its medium-term goal of reaching EUR 10 billion in revenue and a 10% comparable EBITA margin by 2029.

The real-time quote of Andritz stock stood at EUR 79.95 at Lang & Schwarz on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 09:10 Berlin time, 1.54% below the Xetra close of Thursday, October 29.
