The latest operating picture combines record first-quarter revenue growth with a sharp profit contraction, while an executive said on October 1 that long-term inbound tourism demand remains favorable.
Revenue rises 22.6 percent in Q1
For fiscal 2027 first-quarter results covering April through June 2026, revenue increased 22.6 percent year over year to JPY 672.7 billion, according to Yahoo Finance Japan in its September 16, 2026 analysis of the July 29 results. Operating profit fell 43.5 percent to JPY 20.7 billion, while net income declined 15.4 percent to JPY 19.4 billion.
The contrast matters because passenger demand is expanding faster than earnings. The same results showed aviation revenue up 24.9 percent to JPY 620.8 billion, but aviation operating profit fell 48.7 percent to JPY 18.1 billion as fuel and fuel-tax costs increased by JPY 86.9 billion.
Cargo airline starts April 1
ANA is also reshaping its cargo platform. ANA Holdings said on September 14, 2026 that ANA Nippon Cargo Airlines will be established on April 1, 2027 through the integration of ANA Cargo, Nippon Cargo Airlines and NCA Japan.
The company has also committed to 23 E190-E2 aircraft, including eight additional jets announced in September. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in 2028, according to the SEC filing carrying the Embraer and ANA announcement dated September 4, 2026.
Consensus target stays above JPY 3,000
For the demand outlook, ANA Holdings EVP Tomoko Hoya said at a CAPA event on October 1, 2026 that long-term inbound tourism demand should remain good, while business travel demand remained resilient, as reported by CAPA.
Marketscreener lists an Outperform consensus from 12 analysts and an average target price of JPY 3,465.83. The October 2 price of JPY 2,943 remains JPY 476.83 below that published average, while the 52-week range runs from JPY 2,582 to JPY 3,419.
