Amrize stock slips as roofing margin recovery moves into 2027
Published on 11/06/2026 at 18:09 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSRoofing recovery remains delayed
- Amrize expects Building Envelope price-cost positivity in 2027 after freight and raw-material inflation pressured third-quarter profitability.
- Commercial roofing demand remained resilient, while softer residential demand weighed on shingle volumes.
- The company declared a quarterly dividend of 0.11 US dollars payable on November 18, 2026.
Amrize is carrying a more protracted roofing margin recovery into the fourth quarter after inflation pushed its Building Envelope price-cost target into 2027. The company made the assessment in its third-quarter release published on October 28, 2026.
Amrize stock traded at 38.10 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 18:03 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026. That was 3.74 percent below the 39.58-euro Lang & Schwarz quote cited in the previous report on Thursday, November 5, at 10:03 CET. Roofing costs offset stronger demand
Building Envelope revenue rose 3.6 percent year over year to 929 million US dollars in the third quarter. Commercial roofing volumes remained strong, supported by system sales, data centers and industrial projects, while residential demand was weaker because existing-home sales were sluggish and storm-related reroofing was limited.
Segment adjusted EBITDA fell 14.6 percent to 182 million US dollars. Higher freight and raw-material costs outweighed improved pricing, fuel surcharges and stronger commercial volumes. The segment's adjusted EBITDA margin declined to 19.6 percent from 23.7 percent a year earlier.
Amrize expects Building Envelope price-cost performance to improve sequentially in the fourth quarter, but the company now sees price-cost positivity in 2027. Normal seasonal destocking is also expected to pressure fourth-quarter shingle demand.
Guidance keeps investors focused
For the group, Amrize reported third-quarter revenue of 3.771 billion US dollars and net income of 558 million US dollars. Adjusted EBITDA reached 1.076 billion US dollars, while the adjusted EBITDA margin fell to 28.5 percent from 29.1 percent.
The company retained full-year 2026 revenue guidance of 12.2 billion to 12.4 billion US dollars and adjusted EBITDA guidance of 2.95 billion to 3.05 billion US dollars. Investors will watch fourth-quarter roofing volumes, surcharge recovery and progress toward the delayed margin improvement.
