- Amrize cut its 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA outlook after weather, inflation and interest rates weighed on construction markets.
- Third-quarter revenue and net income increased, but Building Envelope adjusted EBITDA declined as roofing costs and weaker residential demand persisted.
- The completed buyback and upcoming dividend support shareholder returns while investors watch fourth-quarter volumes and roofing demand.
Amrize lowered its full-year 2026 outlook after weather, cost inflation and elevated interest rates weighed on construction markets, according to the company's October 28 results release. The company still posted higher third-quarter revenue and net income.
Guidance cut meets resilient results
Revenue for the quarter ended September 30 rose 2.2 percent year over year to USD 3.771 billion, while net income increased 3.3 percent to USD 558 million. Adjusted EBITDA edged up 0.2 percent to USD 1.076 billion, but the margin declined to 28.5 percent from 29.1 percent.
Amrize now expects 2026 revenue of USD 12.2 billion to USD 12.4 billion and adjusted EBITDA of USD 2.95 billion to USD 3.05 billion. Management expects Building Materials to be price-cost positive in the fourth quarter, while Building Envelope price-cost positivity has been pushed into 2027.
Roofing remains the key test
Building Materials revenue increased 1.8 percent to USD 2.842 billion. Cement volumes fell 4.2 percent and aggregates volumes slipped 0.2 percent as weather affected several North American regions, while cement and aggregates pricing provided an offset.
Building Envelope revenue rose 3.6 percent to USD 929 million, supported by commercial roofing. Segment adjusted EBITDA fell 14.6 percent to USD 182 million as higher freight and raw-material costs, limited storm activity and weaker residential reroofing demand outweighed pricing gains.
Shareholder returns continue
Amrize completed its USD 1 billion share repurchase program on October 28, representing approximately 4 percent of share capital. The board declared a quarterly dividend of USD 0.11 per share, payable on November 18, with the shares trading ex-dividend from November 10.
Amrize stock traded at 38.07 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:43 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Compared with 37.34 euros at 13:52:55 CET on Monday, November 2, the quote was 1.96 percent higher.
