America Movil (US02390A1016) was trading at EUR 20.40 at Lang & Schwarz on October 21, 2026 at 11:35 a.m. CEST. On August 18, 2026, JPMorgan raised its target for America Movil stock from USD 30.00 to USD 32.00, as Zolmax reported. The latest quarterly figures add a more immediate test for that valuation.
Revenue growth meets estimate pressure
America Movil reported third-quarter revenue of MXN 250.63 billion for the period ended September 30, 2026, up 7.6 percent from MXN 232.92 billion a year earlier. Net profit reached MXN 24.28 billion, compared with MXN 22.70 billion in the third quarter of 2025, according to Morningstar.
The figures show growth against the prior year, but the comparison with expectations was less favorable. A Fidelity report said analysts polled by LSEG had expected USD 1.51 billion in profit and USD 14.05 billion in revenue, versus reported figures of USD 1.34 billion and USD 13.86 billion.
What did growth add to margins?
Profitability improved alongside revenue. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 8.9 percent to MXN 102.16 billion, while operating profit increased 14.0 percent to MXN 57.11 billion, according to Morningstar. The operating result therefore grew faster than revenue during the quarter.
Customer trends were mixed. America Movil added 3.1 million mobile subscribers, led by Brazil, while it disconnected 5.0 million prepaid lines, mainly in Mexico and Colombia. It also added 390,000 broadband customers and ended the period with 38.2 million broadband customers, according to Quartr.
Target and trading perspective
JPMorgan's USD 32.00 target followed an earlier USD 30.00 target, giving the analyst action a concrete valuation reference dated August 18, 2026. The latest results provide both support through higher operating profit and a counter-factor through the prepaid-line disconnections and the shortfall against LSEG expectations.
The NYSE-listed telecom group reports in Mexican pesos, while its American depositary receipt trades under the ticker AMX. Its business spans mobile, fixed-line and data services across several international markets.
