Air Liquide reported stronger third-quarter sales on Thursday, October 29, and announced the first tranche of a major share buyback program. The company said revenue reached EUR 7.26 billion, up 3.0 percent on a comparable basis, according to its Q3 results release.

Sales momentum supports strategy

Gas & Services revenue rose 3.6 percent on a comparable basis. Industrial Merchant grew 5.0 percent, while Electronics increased 12.0 percent as semiconductor demand remained strong. Engineering & Technologies declined 13.6 percent on a reported basis, limiting the contribution from that business.

Air Liquide also confirmed its outlook for 2026 and 2027. The company is targeting sales growth of about 5 percent annually through 2030 under its BEYOND plan, with the longer-term strategy also including margin and return objectives.

Buyback adds capital support

Management announced the launch of a EUR 1 billion share buyback tranche, scheduled for completion by the end of December 2026. The tranche forms part of a EUR 4 billion program approved through the end of 2028 and is intended to support shareholder returns alongside regular dividend growth.

Air Liquide stock traded at 181.13 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:06 a.m. Berlin time on Saturday, October 31, 0.10 percent above the Xetra close of Friday, October 30. The historical Xetra series from Yahoo Finance shows a weekly rise from EUR 174.48 to EUR 180.94.

For investors, the combination of Electronics growth, buyback execution and reaffirmed guidance keeps capital allocation and demand in industrial end markets in focus. The next share-price direction will depend on how the company converts its strategic targets into recurring growth and returns.
