- JINS will roll out Adyen's unified payment platform across 150 Japanese stores.
- Mobile checkout and consolidated transaction data are designed to improve the in-store shopping experience.
- The partnership supports JINS's international expansion through Adyen's global payments infrastructure.
Adyen announced on Monday, November 2, 2026, that Japanese eyewear retailer JINS Holdings has selected its platform for omnichannel payments. The rollout will cover 150 stores in Japan from November, following an initial launch at JINS's flagship Kichijoji location in late September, according to MarketScreener.
JINS targets unified retail payments
The agreement brings online and in-store transactions onto a single Adyen platform. JINS will gain a consolidated view of payment activity, which can support operational efficiency, shopper insights and more consistent customer journeys across its retail channels.
JINS operates approximately 500 stores in Japan and is expanding internationally. Using one payments architecture across supported markets is intended to reduce the need for separate local integrations as the retailer enters new countries.
Mobile checkout supports expansion
Adyen's Tap to Pay on iPhone solution will allow JINS employees to complete consultations, order selection and payment on the sales floor. Customers will no longer need to move to a central register after choosing frames and completing an eye examination.
Adam Brownstein, Adyen's country manager for Japan, said the partnership combines unified payments with mobile checkout and gives JINS a foundation for international growth. The statement positions the deployment as a digital retail upgrade rather than a change to Adyen's core payment processing model.
