adidas reported record third-quarter results on Thursday, October 29, and raised its 2026 operating-profit outlook. The announcement gave the sportswear group’s shares a strong weekly advance.
According to the adidas Group, third-quarter revenue rose 9 percent to 7.252 billion euros, a record quarterly level. Currency-neutral revenue increased 7 percent, while operating profit climbed 37 percent to 1.008 billion euros.
Profit Outlook Moves Higher
adidas now expects 2026 operating profit of 2.5 billion euros, up from its previous forecast of 2.3 billion euros. The company maintained its expectation for currency-neutral revenue growth of 9 to 10 percent.
Gross margin improved to 54.3 percent, helped by a tariff refund and full-price sales. The company said direct-to-consumer revenue grew 17 percent on a currency-neutral basis, with double-digit increases in its own retail and e-commerce channels.
Europe Remains The Key Weakness
Regional momentum was uneven. Greater China and North America delivered strong growth, while Europe declined in the quarter. adidas said a shift in European wholesale revenue into the following quarter also affected the regional comparison.
The Xetra close rose from 159.85 euros on Monday, October 26, to 168.55 euros on Friday, October 30, a weekly gain of 5.44 percent. On Saturday, October 31, adidas stock traded at 167.73 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:12 CET, 0.49 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, October 30.
