- Acerinox reported EUR 162 million in net profit for the first nine months of 2026, compared with EUR 7 million a year earlier.
- Third-quarter EBITDA rose to EUR 199 million, supported by the U.S. business and North American Stainless.
- Management expects fourth-quarter EBITDA to fall below the third-quarter level because of seasonal U.S. demand.
Acerinox reported a sharp improvement in its first nine months on Friday, October 30, as stronger U.S. operations lifted profitability despite weak demand in parts of Europe. The company said in its official results release that net profit reached EUR 162 million between January and September, versus EUR 7 million in the same period of 2025.
Acerinox stock traded at 15.56 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 14:14 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Acerinox stock.
U.S. Operations Drive Third Quarter
Cumulative EBITDA rose 46% to EUR 470 million. Third-quarter EBITDA reached EUR 199 million, 13% above the second quarter, with North American Stainless remaining the main contributor to group profitability.
The stainless steel business performed more steadily in the United States, while Acerinox said European conditions still require caution. European imports fell 42% in the first nine months, helped by the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and new trade measures, but local consumption recovered more slowly than expected.
Seasonality Shapes Fourth Quarter
Management expects lower activity in the stainless steel division during the fourth quarter because of typical year-end seasonality in the United States. As a result, fourth-quarter EBITDA is expected to come in below the third-quarter level.
The company also expects working capital to decline, which should support a reduction in net financial debt by year-end. Net financial debt stood at EUR 1.5 billion at the end of the third quarter, after a EUR 174 million quarterly increase linked mainly to working capital and dividend payments.
