- Unaudited operating revenue rose 66 percent to A$2.3 million, while gross margins stayed above 90 percent.

On October 28, 2026, 4DMedical reported record first-quarter operating activity as it expanded its medical-imaging footprint. Middle News said the company increased scan volumes, revenue and its global software network in Q1 FY27, while continuing to consume cash to fund expansion.
Record activity, broader footprint
4DMedical completed 119,672 scan analyses in the three months to September 30, 2026, a 61 percent increase from the prior corresponding period. Unaudited operating revenue climbed 66 percent to A$2.3 million, driven by CT:VQ adoption and higher scan volumes. Gross margins remained above 90 percent.
The global SaaS install base rose to 724 sites, 34 percent above the June quarter and 77 percent above September 2025. The company also completed SimonMed's network-wide CT:VQ and LDAf rollout across 125 CT-enabled locations and secured a further three-year IQ-UIP subscription with the US imaging provider.
Contracts support the commercial case
4DMedical said its LDAi technology had been selected for COPD detection across a major US Veterans Affairs healthcare network. The initial agreement has a one-year term with annual extensions and is expected to generate approximately US$800,000 over five years, although that amount is not an unconditional five-year commitment.
In Germany, contextflow was selected for a Curagita-led lung-cancer screening deployment covering approximately 25,000 procedures across 25 sites over three years. The company said recruitment and site activation for the CLEAR study remained on plan for a readout in calendar 2027.
Cash remains an investor focus
Cash stood at A$242.8 million at quarter-end, down A$35.2 million during the period. Net operating cash outflow was A$15.2 million, including A$0.8 million in one-off contextflow acquisition costs. Investing outflows included the A$18.0 million contextflow completion payment and a A$4.9 million strategic investment in RevealDx.
