Golden Chalice Advances Nickel Find. Golden Chalice Gives Smartstox.com an Executive Summary of Developments at Their Langmuir Nickel Discovery

The Smartstox Online TV Talk Show is alerting its subscribers and other resource stock investors to the progress of Golden Chalice Resources Inc. (TSX-V: GCR) (PINKSHEETS: GCRIF) in its exploration of their Langmuir Nickel discovery near Timmins Ontario. Golden Chalice announced their discovery in May 2007 and they have been working since to find the extent of the discovery zone and learn about the geological environment that hosts the mineralization. Yesterday the team announced that drilling at the project continues to intersect high-grade mineralization, and that the same rock types and style of mineralization found at the discovery zone have been identified some 700 metres from the initial discovery. Recent shallow infill drilling on the Discovery Zone itself has helped better define the continuity and grade of mineralization. Notable assays include drill hole GCL08-51 that intersected 3.13% nickel over a drilled width of 10.60 meters, and drill hole GCL08-48 that intersected 1.74% nickel over a drilled width of 14.0 meters. Last year’s discovery hole intersected 72.4 metres of 1.14% nickel. In addition to the nickel, significant copper and PGM values are present as well. Newly modeled deep conductivity targets have just begun to be tested, and the first hole in this part of the program has intersected the same rock type of the initial discovery. What Golden Chalice geologists have found are peridotitic komatiitic rocks that have approximately 2 to 3% interstitial disseminated sulphides. Komatites are rare Archean age volcanic rocks, and komatiitic lava is believed to have flowed as fluidly as water. Within the flow channels of the lava, nickel sulphides were concentrated in depressions. This deposition style is known as ‘Kambalda-style’ mineralization after the Kambalda region of western Australia where multiple high-grade nickel deposits occur within internal channel pathways of similar ancient komatiitic flows. In our recent Smartstox interview with John Keating, president of Golden Chalice Resources, he explains more about the company’s growing understanding of their discovery, including the strong possibility that there are other nickel-copper-PGM deposits to be found nearby within the komatite flow channels.
