The brands were tested, compared and ranked basis various physicochemical parameters. Sunflower Oil brands were tested on parameters such as Heavy Metals, Non-edible oils, Antioxidants, PUFA, MUFA, Saturated Fats; Trans Fats etc. whereas packaged Atta brands were tested on packing, weight, pricing marking beside presence of pesticides and other microbiological elements. The methodology and process of comparative testing were based on the guidelines and recommendations by Indian Standards, Food Safety and Standards Regulations and Agmark.
