Capital Stage AG: Electricity production increases to over 2 terawatt hours in 2017

Capital Stage AG: Electricity production increases to over 2 terawatt hours (TWh) in 2017 (2016: 0,94 TWh)Capital Stage AG, the SDAX-listed solar and wind park operator based in Hamburg, once again increased electricity production from renewable energy sources significantly in 2017. The output rose from around 0.94 terawatt hours (TWh) in 2016 to over 2 terawatt hours (TWh) in 2017, thus setting a new record. The strong increase is attributable to the full year effect of the takeover of CHORUS Clean Energy AG, the acquisition of further solar- and wind parks in the reporting period, as well as a higher wind level and higher sun radiation. Capital Stage AG is therefore one of the leading independent and listed power producers in the renewable energy segment in Europe with a total generation capacity of over 1.5 gigawatts (GW). By generating electricity from renewable sources, the Capital Stage Group is making an important contribution to sustainable and clean energy production. The electricity produced by the corporate group in 2017 - a total of over 2 TWh - is sufficient to cover the annual average electricity requirements of nearly 1 million two-person households. At the same time, Capital Stage AG supports a climate-friendly energy supply, as the use of photovoltaics and wind power reduced environmentally harmful carbon emissions by over 1.5 tons in 2017. "The very strong outcome of our electricity production in the year 2017 is the result of continues growth by acquiring additional solar- and windparks, favourable meteorological conditions as well as our operational excellence in managing these parks," Dr. Dierk Paskert, CEO of Capital Stage AG, commented on the result. "We will expand our business internationally and will further improve our operating performance to ensure that we will continue to report such excellent results also in the future," Paskert added. Capital Stage has last raised its guidance for the full year 2017 in August 2017. The final financial results for the full year will be published on March 22, 2018.About Capital Stage AG: Capital Stage invests in and operates solar and wind parks in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Sweden.
