Das bewertet Rock Tech als positives Zeichen f?r die Unterst?tzung des Konverterbaus und lobt zugleich die z?gige und transparente Zusammenarbeit mit den Beh?rden.

 

?Unser Konverter wird einer der ersten seiner Art in Europa sein. Die Produktion von unserem batterief?higem Lithiumhydroxid wird ein wesentlicher Teil der Rohstofflieferketten f?r Batteriemetalle in Europa sein ? auch deshalb ist der positive Bescheid der Beh?rde ein wichtiger Schritt dahin und sendet ein wichtiges Signal in den Markt?, erg?nzt Klaus Schmitz, Chief Operating Officer von Rock Tech.

 

Die Zulassung zum vorzeitigen Beginn ist auch ein erfreulicher Indikator f?r die zu erwartende Baugenehmigung f?r den Guben Konverter. Im November hatte Rock Tech daf?r den zweiten und finalen Genehmigungsantrag bei der Beh?rde eingereicht. Mit einer positiven Entscheidung wird ab Sommer 2023 gerechnet.

 

Bisher wurden mehr als 250.000 Arbeitsstunden und ?ber 37 Millionen US-Dollar[ii] durch Rock Tech in die Prozess- und Konstruktionsplanungen des Konverters investiert. Mit dem vorzeitigen Beginn k?nnen die notwendigen Bodenarbeiten sowie der Bau von Stra?en, B?ro- und Lagergeb?uden begonnen werden.
