Statkraft - Christian Rynning-Tønnesen appointed new President and CEO of Statkraft

"It was important for the board to find a new CEO with extensive knowledge and experience from the energy industry and international business. Christian Rynning-Tønnesen (50) has been the President and CEO of Norske Skog since the summer of 2006, following his recruitment as Chief Financial Officer at the beginning of 2005. Rynning-Tønnesen has previously held senior positions in Statkraft's top management for 11 years, and before that he worked for McKinsey and Esso Norge.

Rynning-Tønnesen earned his degree as a chartered engineer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
