The award recognized Innovive's contribution to sustainable business development. In the course of implementing its Material Consumption and Waste Reduction Program, the company redesigned the manufacturing process at its San Diego manufacturing facility. This process optimization resulted in a 50% reduction in both materials consumed and waste produced.

In addition, Innovive Inc has pioneered a closed-loop recycling service program, offering customers a convenient solution for used material and assuming full responsibility for its product at every stage of the production cycle. Used materials are collected directly from customer sites and returned to Innovive's recycling facility for composting and recycling. Since December 2010, 56,800 lbs. of plastic have been diverted from landfills and 91,200 lbs. of soiled materials have been composted at the local municipal facility.
