BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG generates proceeds of EUR 5.5 million from
capital increase
Sprakensehl-Bokel, September 12, 2007 - BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG (German
Securities Code (WKN) A0LD4M, ISIN DE000A0LD4M4) has generated gross
proceeds totaling EUR 5.5 million as part of its capital increase from
authorized capital. A total of 500,000 new, no-par value bearer shares were
placed at a price of EUR 11.00. The additional equity is to be used in
particular to expand the high-growth biogas business and to pre-finance new
orders.
Around 25% of the capital increase was subscribed by existing shareholders
by exercising their subscription rights at a ratio of 5:1. Institutional
investors in Germany and abroad acquired the remaining 75% of the placement
volume. The free float has thus increased from 15.7% to 21.9%. BKN
BioKraftstoff Nord AG's share capital will increase from EUR 6,350,000 to
EUR 6,850,000 as a result of the issue of new shares.
After the capital increase has been entered in the commercial register
(scheduled for September 13, 2007), the new shares are expected to be
admitted to trading in the Entry Standard under ISIN DE000A0LD4M4 from
September 14, 2007. Ulrich Wogart, BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG's CEO, drew a
positive conclusion: 'We have gained well-known new investors despite the
current difficult situation on the market and in the industry. This fresh
equity will allow us to consistently realize our growth targets - right on
time.'
