Brilon, January 28, 2010 - According to provisional, unaudited figures, CENTROTEC Sustainable AG, Brilon, generated revenue of EUR 467 million in the 2009 financial year and therefore achieved in full the forecast of EUR 455 to 480 million that it made at the start of 2009. The past financial year, which was dominated by considerable cyclical and economic uncertainty, consequently saw CENTROTEC almost match the record revenue of 2008. This was by and large thanks to an increasingly marked growth trend towards the end of the year. The strategic segments (Climate and Gas Flue Systems) between them in fact achieved exactly the same figures as in the previous year. This successful business progress stems largely from increased market shares in the core markets, especially Germany. Business for innovative system solutions for energy conservation in buildings, particularly in the areas of condensing boiler technology, solar thermal, ventilation systems with heat recovery, biomass systems and combined heat and power units, moreover continued to make positive progress. On this basis, the operating result (EBIT) of EUR 29 to 30 million likewise tallied exactly with the forecast of EUR 27 to 32 million made 12 months ago. The same applies to the target corridor of EUR 0.85 to 1.10 for earnings per share (EPS), excluding the non-recurring effects from the interest in CENTROSOLAR (substantially the write-off of the Qimonda joint venture).

The audited trading figures for 2009 and a detailed breakdown by segment of the forecast for 2010 published on January 11 (revenue EUR 480 to 500 million, EBIT 30 to 32 million, EPS 1.10 to 1.20) will be published for the Annual Press Conference on March 25, 2010.
