Dana Walden and Gary Newman to Keynote Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation and Variety 2012 TV Summit: The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation and Variety have announced that Twentieth Century Fox Television Chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden will be the keynote Q & A speakers for their 2012 TV Summit taking place on March 20 at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood.

Fresh off of four Golden Globe wins including the top prize for both drama (?Homeland?) and Comedy (?Modern Family,?) the Chairmen will join a line-up of leaders from the broadcast/cable channels, emerging original digital content hubs, TV service providers and technology partners, as they examine what it means to develop, market and distribute successful programming in a changing media environment. Last year?s inaugural event sold out.

Since 1999, Chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman have overseen Twentieth Century Fox Television, the prolific supplier of blockbuster television programming and home to many of the most acclaimed writers, producers and performers working in television.

Newman and Walden produced the two most celebrated hits of the past two seasons ? Glee, which won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy two years running, and Modern Family, which took home the Comedy Emmy two years in a row as well as this year?s Golden Globe. They delivered many of this year?s most successful new shows, including the award-winning drama Homeland, the Fox hits New Girl and Terra Nova, the ABC comedy Last Man Standing, Kiefer Sutherland?s return to television in Touch and FX?s newest sensation American Horror Story.
