China's Dongfeng Makes Joint Initiative with Global Partners. On October 21, 2017, Dongfeng Motor Corporation held a press conference themed "Belt and Road With You" and called on its global partners to achieve opening up and cooperation, aiming to build mutually beneficial relationships with countries and regions along the Belt and Road, as well as promote long-distance sailing and cultural exchanges.

At the press conference, Dongfeng Motor Corporation signed cooperation agreements with China COSCO Shipping Group and Belgium SMT company respectively. Meanwhile, all crew members of Dongfeng Race Team were also unveiled, with 9 of them to take the first leg.
Wind rises from the east, sailors set out again
Volvo Ocean Race is a world-class professional sports event that takes the longest time. Named as "the Mount Everest in the sailing domain", it's the world's top offshore sailing competition. In the 2014-15 edition, Dongfeng Race Team won the third place on the podium for its debut show, attracting attention and support of global fans and the public at large. Such an accomplishment changed the world's perception on Dongfeng's prowess.
In the 2017-18 edition, Dongfeng Race Team will continue to be led by the skipper CHARLES CAUDRELIER. It consists of 12 crew members from France, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Australia, UK and China. Among them, two are females and three are Chinese.
The skipper CHARLES CAUDRELIER said that he was honored to once again serve as the captain of the Dongfeng Race Team and hoped to achieve an excellent performance this time, and even break records. Crew representative Chen Jinhao (Horace) said that the team is in good shape and he hoped to achieve more and help the team get better results.
