ad pepper media group with further record sales and best quarterly earnings in 10 years
The three segments - ad pepper media, Webgains, and ad agents - performed dynamically and generated record earnings, benefiting from the process launched more than 10 years ago of focusing the group's activities on performance marketing.
Nuremberg, July 17, 2017 - The ad pepper media group generated growth of 25.5 percent in the second quarter of 2017 and posted record sales of EUR 17,428k. Compared with the three preceding quarters, growth at the listed group of companies (Prime Standard) gained significant additional momentum. With quarter earnings (EBITDA) of EUR 746k, the group also reported its best results in 10 years.
The group's profitability stands on a strong foundation. All three segments - ad pepper media, ad agents, and Webgains - generated positive earnings and reported dynamic growth. ad agents, part of the group since 2007, achieved the highest growth rate at 31.6 percent. ad agents also posted the best second-quarter earnings in the company's history. The ad pepper media segment grew by 27.1 percent, while Webgains, acquired by ad pepper media group in 2006, reported fx adjusted growth of 24 percent. This means that Webgains is still one of the fastest-growing affiliate marketing networks. The holding company has a leaner structure than at any time in its history. The clear focus is on boosting the individual operating segments.
"By consistently focusing the ad pepper media group on performance marketing, a process we began more than 10 years ago, we are now superbly positioned and benefiting in numerous ways from strong growth in the online advertising market. We are building our business on transparent, measurable and innovative online marketing solutions. That is the common thread that unites all three segments", comments Dr. Jens Körner, a member of the Management Board since 2006 and CEO of ad pepper media International N.V. since the end of March 2017. "We expect digital advertising budgets to rise further in the current second half of the year. We are acting now already to prepare for the fourth quarter, which includes the months with our highest sales. We aim to further bolster our market position in each of our segments. Webgains, for example, is investing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) together with IBM Watson, while ad agents is positioning itself with Amazon Marketing and with data science projects. The group is debt-free and has adequate liquidity resources. If need be, we can therefore actively help shape market developments within the sector", adds Körner.
