?We had an incredible first season,? Dolly Parton said. ?I think Pirates Voyage is the perfect fit for families visiting the Grand Strand. It?s our most breathtaking show ever!?
The $11 million production showcases spectacular acrobats, live animals, including trained dogs, exotic birds and sea lions, to create an immersive adventure experience. Guests experience the spirit and swashbuckling excitement of the pirates who called the Carolina coast home. The Crimson and Sapphire pirates battle each other on deck, in the water and in the sky above their full-sized pirate ships in a 15-foot-deep indoor lagoon to the cheers and delight of their fans in the arena. For 2012, Pirates Voyage adds a brand new, state-of-the-art surround sound system, including strategically placed sub woofers and multiple speaker clusters. The new system will rock the house with every explosion-packed, swashbuckling action sequence.
?Families really enjoy the show,? Jim Rule, Pirates Voyage President, said. ?The summer of 2011 was a record season for us, and we are confident 2012 will be even better! The rave reviews for the incredible acrobats, sea lions and our mermaids prove the show is not only geared to families with children; couples will love the excitement of the show and the value of our four-course feast.?
Guests begin their experience in the Pirates Village for a fun and interactive experience. They then move into the main arena sectioned into Crimson and Sapphire pirate camps where guests enjoy a spectacular four-course pirate feast. As the experience continues, each side competes for the ultimate treasure!
