Activelogix LLC, a leading provider of Internet-based enterprise automation solutions, launched Periscope(tm), a dynamic web-enabled application suite for flexible visualization and analysis of the complex data generated by facility automation and business systems at the recent AHR Expo.

Periscope?, built on the Niagara Framework®, is a user-configurable, web-based dashboard application for Niagara^AX stations that provides rapid identification of real-time and historical trends in key attributes of multi-facility operation, including energy use, operational efficiencies and critical metrics. Created using rich internet application (RIA) tools, Periscope is the first application of its kind to meet the diverse and changing needs of all end users, from ?the boiler room to the board room.?

Unlike conventional business dashboards, Periscope employs a library of special purpose ?viewlet? agents which can be configured ?on-the-fly.? Periscope is unique in its ability to process and integrate a wide array of data feeds from both the control network and the business network as well as other sources. The ability for each user to insert, configure, and modify specific viewlets to customize their individual dashboard allows for the facility data to be presented in formats that can be utilized by the widest possible audience. A growing library of viewlets is available for additional views, analyses and special purpose applications.

Periscope utilizes the proven Niagara^AX security model and includes a ?Discovery & Mapping Wizard? to access control network data from Niagara, MODBUS®, BACNet or hybrid configurations. This feature enables Periscope to easily be overlaid on existing building networks without modification to the underlying control logic or database.
